英語「make it on time」の意味って？
動詞 seem、look like の後に節を続けて文を作る練習をしましょう。
誤解があったようです。
It seems (that) there was a misunderstanding.
彼らは同窓会に来られないようです。
It seems (that) they can’t come to the reunion.
雨になりそうだ。
It looks like it’s going to rain.
私たちは時間に間に合わせられそうにない。

ちょこっと解説♪
- 「雨になりそうだ」は「雨が降りそうだ」ととらえ、上記のように It’s going to rain と表現します。
- 「間に合う」には make it という表現が使えます。
