あいにくの天気だった、５月１３日、母の日。
それでも、母の日をお祝いしようと、レストランやカフェは大混雑でした。
私の家族は日本に居るので、
普段通り友達とカフェでブランチをしていたのですが、
そのカフェでも、２０代前半と思われる娘・息子が、
ご両親を連れてブランチを楽しむ姿を沢山見かけました。
オーストラリアで素敵だなと思う事のひとつが、
老若男女問わずに、同じ店を楽しんでいる事。
家族で過ごす姿を羨まし眺めつつ、おいしいブランチをいただきました。
グレーの空と、赤く染まったプラタナスの葉。そして路面電車。
メルボルンらしい、秋の風景。

13th of May was Mothers day in Australia, too.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t nice.
However, restaurants and cafes were really crowded to celebrate Mothers day.
Because my family lives in Japan,
I spent Mothers day with my friend and went to a cafe for brunch as usual.
I saw a few families – sons and daughters in their early 20’s with their parents – enjoying brunch together.
One of the things I admire about Australians is that they enjoy the same cafe/restaurant/shop regardless of their age.
I watched these happy families while I had my delicious brunch.
