イースター・ホリデーを利用して、
メルボルンから２時間程の街、ベンディゴまで行ってきました。
ゴールドラッシュの時代に栄えた街の一つで、
今は美しい建物やワイン、アンティークショップなどが魅力の、素敵な街です。
今日はベンディゴ・アート・ギャラリーで開催中の
”グレース・ケリー スタイル・アイコン”を見に行ってきました。
ハリウッド女優、ファション・アイコン、そしてモナコ公国の王妃として有名な往年の美女、グレース・ケリー。
エルメスのケリーバックの名前の由来になった方です。
彼女の映画衣装や、モナコ王妃時代の私服などが展示されるとの事で、
ヴィンテージの服や雑貨が大好きな私は、開催前から心待ちにしていました。
館内は撮影禁止なので写真をお見せ出来ないのが残念ですが、
ベンディゴ・アート・ギャラリーのサイトに写真が少し載っているので、

I went on a day trip during Easter Holiday to Bendigo, about 2 hours away from Melbourne .
Bendigo is one of the towns that flourished in the era of the gold rush.
Today the town is popular for its beautiful buildings, wines and antique shops.
I went to there to see an exhibition called
“Grace Kelly Style Icon”.
Grace Kelly was a beautiful Oscar-winning actress, fashion icon, and princess of Monaco.
The Hermes Kelly Bag is so named after her.
The exhibition is featuring her spectacular film costumes as well as her everyday clothes as the princess of Monaco.
As I love vintage clothes and that sort of stuff, I was looking forward to seeing it.
As it is prohibited to take photos of the exhibition,
I won’t be able to share photos with you.
